Already searching for a replacement. Borussia Dortmund will receive only €35 million for their star
The future of Serhou Guirassy at Borussia Dortmund has come under serious doubt. The striker has decided to leave the club next summer and is already planning the next stage of his career, according to Bild.
Despite having a contract until 2028, the forward wants to move on for sporting reasons and is open to offers. Several clubs have already shown interest in the 30-year-old goal machine, including Fenerbahce, Milan, as well as Premier League sides and clubs from Saudi Arabia.
An additional headache for Dortmund could be the €35 million release clause in the player's contract, which can be activated as early as this summer.
Amid the potential departure of their leader, Dortmund have already started working on possible replacements. One of the candidates is Nicolo Tresoldi, who has shown steady progress since his move from Hannover to Brugge. Another option is Fisnik Asllani from Hoffenheim. His contract reportedly includes a release clause of around €30 million, and a further advantage is the player's familiarity with the current sporting director of the Black and Yellows.
