Alonso and Sainz are candidates at Red Bull in the event of Perez or Verstappen's departure

Andrew Benson, a BBC insider, shared his opinion regarding potential candidates for a driver position at Red Bull Racing in 2025 if Max Verstappen or Sergio Perez leave the team.

He noted that currently, the chances for Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda to secure a spot at Red Bull next year are slim if the current drivers depart. Ricciardo isn't demonstrating a high level of performance at the moment, and Tsunoda's candidacy lacks support from Red Bull's motorsport advisor Helmut Marko.

In this case, the consideration will turn to Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz, who are contenders for any vacant spot in a top team.
