Al-Nassr Eyes Luis Díaz as Potential Blockbuster Summer Signing Al-Nassr Eyes Luis Díaz as Potential Blockbuster Summer Signing

Colombian star Luis Díaz is once again at the heart of transfer speculation, with Saudi giants Al-Nassr reportedly lining up a mega offer to sign him from Liverpool. According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the Saudi club remains keen on the 28-year-old winger after an initial approach in January.

“Saudi clubs, including Al-Nassr, are still monitoring Luis Díaz. There was concrete interest in January, but the player opted to stay focused on the season,” Romano said on his YouTube channel. Now, with the summer window approaching, Al-Nassr could return with an offer worth close to €100 million—matching Díaz’s market value and Liverpool’s highest valuation.

Díaz has delivered consistently for the Reds but could be allowed to leave as new manager Arne Slot considers reshaping the squad with younger talent. His sale would generate significant funds to reinvest in the team, according to Romano.

If the move materializes, Díaz would join Cristiano Ronaldo and fellow Colombian Jhon Durán in Al-Nassr’s attack. Interestingly, he would once again follow in the footsteps of Sadio Mané—just like when he replaced the Senegalese forward at Liverpool in 2022. Mané, whose contract runs until 2026, may not extend his stay in Saudi Arabia.

While the financial offer could be unmatched, Díaz must weigh the sporting consequences, especially with ambitions to win the Champions League. Still, his standing in the Colombian national team wouldn’t be jeopardized—Durán’s example shows that performances in Saudi Arabia can still keep players in the spotlight.
