Real Madrid's star forward Vinícius Júnior, who missed out on the Ballon d'Or to Rodri, posted a team photo featuring the entire Los Blancos squad.

Background: According to French outlet France Football, the award for the best player of last season went to Manchester City’s Spanish midfielder Rodri.

The entire Real Madrid squad opted to skip the Ballon d'Or ceremony upon finding out that Vinícius would not receive the award.

It was previously reported that Real Madrid’s head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, personally made the decision for the team to skip the trip to Paris. Despite being awarded Coach of the Year, Ancelotti chose to demonstrate solidarity with Vinícius Júnior, which is why no representatives from the Royal Club attended the ceremony.

This Ballon d'Or marks the first time a player from Manchester City has won the prestigious title.
