In the early hours of Thursday, September 5, the US Open quarterfinal matches concluded, determining all semifinalists in both the men's and women's draws.

On this day, Italy's Jannik Sinner knocked out the fifth-ranked Daniil Medvedev from the tournament. Sinner is now considered the top favorite for the US Open title, with bookmakers offering odds of 1.42 on his victory. Taylor Fritz follows with odds of 4.5, while Jack Draper and Frances Tiafoe have odds greater than 10.

In the women's draw, Aryna Sabalenka is the leading favorite for the title, with her chances rated at 1.7. American Jessica Pegula is seen as a close contender, with odds of 4.3 for her victory.
