It is reported that even though Mourinho is already in talks with Pérez about plans for the summer transfer window, the Real president intends to announce Mourinho’s appointment only after the club’s presidential elections.

The presidential election at Madrid’s Real is scheduled for June 7. For the first time in 20 years, it will be a competitive race: the current club president Florentino Pérez is up against Cox Energy founder Enrique Riquelme.
