Details: Tottenham Hotspur have officially announced the signing of 26-year-old centre-back Jan Paul van Hecke, who joins the London club from Brighton.

It was previously reported that the deal is worth £52 million, making the Dutchman one of the most expensive defenders in Spurs’ history.

The 25-year-old van Hecke has established himself as one of the Premier League’s top centre-backs with his commanding performances for Brighton. Tottenham are counting on him to become a key figure in their backline and help the team compete for the highest positions in the new season.
