Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé can breathe easy after serious accusations of rape during a trip to Sweden have been dismissed, as law enforcement no longer has any grounds for pursuing the case.

Details: According to the Swedish outlet Expressen, citing the Swedish prosecutor's office, the case against the French star was closed due to insufficient evidence. As a result, no formal charges were filed, and no interrogations of suspects were conducted.

Quote: "During the investigation, there was one person reasonably suspected of rape and two cases of sexual assault, but I believe the evidence is insufficient to proceed with the investigation, which is why the case has been closed," said senior prosecutor Marina Chirakova, who led the inquiry.

Reminder: Previously, Mbappé speculated that rumors of the rape allegations originated from PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
