Quite traditional is the Laver Cup exhibition tournament, which unites many famous tennis players. However, the Saudi sheikhs also want to occupy this niche, so they have organised their own exhibition competition - Six Kings Slam, which we will see the premiere of this year. The Dailysports team has prepared an announcement of this tournament for you, gathering all the information you need.

Six Kings Slam: who organises the tournament?

You may know the organiser of the tournament from such a high-profile event as the fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury: the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, headed by Turki al-Al Sheikh.

Six Kings Slam: when and where will the tournament take place?

Initially, the tournament was planned to be a three-day tournament, but here intervened the rules of the ATP tour, which prohibit tennis players to participate in exhibition tournaments that last more than two days. But the organisers found a way out and provided a one-day pause.

Thus, the quarter-final matches will be held on 16 October, with the semifinal matches scheduled for the next day. 18 October is a day of rest, and on 19 October the final and the match for third place will be held. All matches will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Six Kings Slam: who will take part in the tournament?

As you can easily guess from the name, the tournament will feature six kings, or to be more precise, five representatives of the top-15 of the ATP rankings (Jannik Sinner (№ 1), Carlos Alcaraz (№ 3), Novak Djokovic (№ 4), Daniil Medvedev (№ 5) and Holger Rune (№ 14), as well as the famous veteran Rafael Nadal.

He and Djokovic will start the competition from the semi-finals, while the others will have to start from the quarter-finals. Medvedev will play Sinner and Rune will play Alcaraz. The winner of the first pair will play Djokovic in the semi-finals, while the winner of the second pair will play Nadal.

Six Kings Slam: what is the prize money for the tournament?

The organisers have spared no expense on prize money, and the total tournament fund is $15 million. Just for one participation, each tennis player will receive $1.6 million, and for the winner there is a sum of six million dollars. By the way, this is almost twice as much as Sinner's bonus for winning the US Open.
