The Malian midfielder is expected to join Valencia CF in Spain.

Aliou Dieng officially bid farewell to Al Ahly on Wednesday 10 June. The 28-year-old is leaving the Egyptian giants after seven seasons with the club. During his time with the Red Devils, Aliou Dieng won several domestic and international titles. In his farewell to Al Ahly, he expressed his gratitude.

“Al Ahly, the fans and Egypt have been my home for the past seven years. I arrived as a child and I am now leaving as a man, a father, a husband and a player who has found great fulfilment on the pitch. I have lived my dreams and achieved everything I came here for. It has been an honour to wear the captain’s armband for this team.”

However, the Malian must now continue his career away from Egypt. According to reports, Aliou Dieng is set to join the Spanish La Liga. The 28-year-old midfielder is set to sign for Valencia CF.
