Senegalese manager Aliou Cissé has officially resigned from his role as head coach of the Libyan national team, bringing an end to his time in charge.

Cissé confirmed his decision on Wednesday through a message shared on his official account, revealing that his final international camp with the team took place in March.

He wrote, "This month of March was very special for me, as it marked my last camp as coach of the Libyan national team. This adventure has been incredibly rich both professionally and personally, and I couldn’t leave without saying a few words.

To the staff and players, despite the challenges we faced, I am proud of the work we accomplished together and of the results we achieved. I believe in this team and have no doubt you will continue your efforts to keep it growing.

Libyan supporters, I want to thank you for the warm welcome, your passion and your support. I will not forget you. I know that our Knights can always count on you.

I wish you all the best for the future."
