Ceramica Cleopatra FC has officially announced the appointment of Ali Maher as the club’s new head coach, just a day after his departure from Al Masry SC.
The Egyptian Premier League side, currently sitting seventh in the standings, decided to part ways with Ayman El Ramadi following a series of disappointing results.
In a statement, the club emphasized the importance of renewing motivation within the squad: “The board of directors has decided to appoint Captain Ali Maher as the new head coach of the first team in an important step to enhance performance and achieve the club’s upcoming objectives.”
Despite guiding Al Masry to the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals, Maher’s tenure ended due to the team’s decline to fifth place in the league.
Ceramica Cleopatra thanked El Ramady and emphasized how he helped the team win the Egyptian League Cup twice in a row: "With the best interests of the team as a top priority, both parties have decided to terminate the contract amicably in complete openness and respect for one another."
Ceramica Cleopatra wants to go up the table and be competitive in the league now that Maher is leading the team.
