Algeria: Release of MC Alger fans stranded in Rwanda
Stranded in Rwanda after the match against Sudanese side Hilal, the four MC Alger fans have been released. According to reports, they returned home safe and sound, and their situation is now under control.
MC Alger emphasized that this outcome was made possible thanks to the effective intervention of the Algerian Embassy in Kigali, which had been monitoring the case from the beginning. The club expressed its gratitude to Ambassador Mohamed Mellah for his unwavering commitment, his visits to the locations where the fans were, and his efforts to ensure their safe return.
Mouloudia also took the opportunity to thank the Ministries of Youth and Sports and Foreign Affairs for their swift cooperation, which enabled the four fans to reunite with their families. The club stated that it had closely monitored the situation, in constant coordination with the embassy, guaranteeing support and assistance until the fans' full return to Algeria.
