Alessandro Del Piero identifies Juventus' key problem this season
Former Juventus star Alessandro Del Piero has highlighted the lack of fear among opponents as one of the club's main challenges this season. His comments came after the Bianconeri salvaged a 2-2 draw at home against Bologna, despite going two goals down.
Details. Del Piero believes manager Thiago Motta should be concerned about opponents appearing "too relaxed" and "confident in their chances" when facing Juventus.
"They clearly have problems because they don't have all their players available. Today, they suffered another injury—Cambiasso, who is an excellent player for Juventus," Del Piero stated.
"And honestly, they’re struggling because teams are getting used to playing against them and believe they can win. Bologna didn’t win, but a draw here is a great result for them."
Context. Under Thiago Motta, Juventus is enduring an underwhelming campaign. The Turin giants currently sit sixth in Serie A with 27 points after 15 matches, well below their usual standing in the league.
