The world's second-ranked player, Carlos Alcaraz, sensationally crashed out of the Miami Masters in the quarterfinals.

The young Spanish tennis player lost in straight sets to Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, who is ranked 12th in the world.

In the first set, Dimitrov didn't give Alcaraz any chances and won convincingly with a score of 6-2. The Spaniard dropped two games on his own serve. The second set saw a more competitive battle, but at the crucial moment, Dimitrov converted a break point and won 6-4.

The semifinal matches of the Miami Masters will take place overnight from Friday, March 29, to Saturday, March 30.
