In the third round of the prestigious ATP Masters Series tournament in Madrid, the third-ranked player in the world, Carlos Alcaraz, faced Brazilian Thiago Wild.

The game proved to be quite straightforward for the young Spaniard. His opponent had enough strength only for the first half of the set, and in the second set, there was no fight at all. Alcaraz secured a comfortable victory in two sets in just 1 hour and 17 minutes. Throughout this time, the Spaniard served two aces and committed one double fault.

In the next round, Alcaraz will face German tennis player Jan-Lennard Struff. Interestingly, they faced each other in the final last year. It's worth noting that Alcaraz is defending his title in Madrid, which he won in 2022 and 2023.

Thiago Wild (Brazil, 63) - Carlos Alcaraz (Spain, 3) - 3:6, 3:6.
