Omar Naji, a players’ agent, recently revealed behind-the-scenes details about Al-Arabi Club’s interest in signing Ahmed Sayed Zizo during the last transfer window.

Zizo, a star at Zamalek, sees his transfer status revisited each window, often due to his father’s desire to explore new opportunities.

Al-Arabi made a serious bid, but Zamalek’s financial demands proved to be a dealbreaker. Naji disclosed that Zamalek requested $8 million to release Zizo, a sum deemed too steep by the Qatari club.

Negotiations stretched on, with Al-Arabi even suggesting including Omar Al-Somah in the deal, yet Zamalek stood firm. When no compromise was reached, Al-Arabi signed another player within three days, effectively closing the door on Zizo’s potential move to Qatar.
