The first special transfer window approved by FIFA for clubs participating in the 2025 Club World Cup has officially concluded. The tournament, set to kick off in the United States on June 14, saw numerous high-profile deals as teams bolstered their squads for the prestigious event.

When Did the First Window Open?

FIFA confirmed that the initial transfer period ran from June 1 to June 10, with an additional window scheduled from June 27 to July 3. These special arrangements were made to accommodate the expanded 32-team format, a first in the competition’s history.

Al Ahly’s Key Signings

Egyptian giants Al Ahly wasted no time, securing several crucial reinforcements during the first window. Their most notable acquisition was Mahmoud Hassan "Trezeguet," who joined on a permanent deal from Turkey’s Trabzonspor following the end of his loan spell at Qatar’s Al Rayyan. The club also secured the temporary signing of midfielder Hamdy Fathy from Al Wakrah until the end of the tournament.

Other new arrivals include:

  • Mohamed Siha (goalkeeper from Arab Contractors)

  • Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan (midfielder from Hungary’s Ferencváros)

  • Ahmed Sayed "Zizo" (free transfer from rivals Zamalek)

  • Defensive duo Ahmed Ramadan "Beckham" and Aliou Dieng to strengthen the backline.

With these signings, Al Ahly aims to make a strong impression in the upcoming global showdown.
