Al-Shabab Officially Sign Ghana Star Thomas Partey on Free Transfer

Saudi Pro League club Al-Shabab have officially announced the signing of Ghana international Thomas Partey on a free transfer.

The former Arsenal midfielder joins the Saudi side following the expiration of his contract with Spanish club Villarreal, where he spent the 2025/26 season.

Partey now begins a new chapter in his career after previously representing Atletico Madrid and Arsenal. During his time with the Gunners, the Ghanaian made 130 appearances and scored nine goals across all competitions.

After leaving Arsenal in 2025, Partey moved to Villarreal as a free agent and went on to make 25 appearances during his only season with the Spanish club.

The 32-year-old also has considerable international experience, having established himself as an important player for the Ghana national team.
