Al Nassr player named footballer of the season — and it's not Ronaldo

The Saudi Pro League has named its Player of the Season for 2025/26, and, much to everyone's surprise, it's not Cristiano Ronaldo.

Details: After Al-Nassr clinched their first league title since the 2018/19 season, defeating Damac 4-1 in the final round, it was inevitable that the league's top individual honor would go to one of Jorge Jesus's players.

For the 2025/26 campaign, Portuguese star João Félix was crowned Player of the Season. Having joined the squad in July 2025, Félix quickly became a key figure for the club. Over the course of the season, he made 47 appearances across all competitions for Al-Nassr, netting 26 goals and providing 19 assists—20 of those goals and 14 assists coming in league play.
