Al Masry lodges a complaint with CAF following their Confederation Cup match against CR Belouizdad
The elimination isn't going down well
The Egyptian club has officially requested that the Confederation of African Football launch an investigation.
Behind this request lie refereeing decisions deemed incomprehensible and which may have been decisive in the outcome of this CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final match. Al Masry wishes to access the communications between the Zimbabwean main referee, Chimene, and the VAR official, Ghanaian Daniel Laryea.
The club has also raised the issue of two yellow cards shown to CR Belouizdad player Djaber Kaassis without him being sent off. Al Masry is seeking clear explanations and hopes that CAF will shed full light on these grey areas.
