N’Golo Kanté has been playing in the Saudi Pro League for several years, representing Al-Ittihad. However, it appears the midfielder is eager to return to Europe, a topic that prompted questions for the club’s head coach.
Details: As Al-Ittihad manager Sérgio Conceição explained, he does not want to comment on transfer speculation at this moment. All players who remain at the club must stay focused and work for the team’s benefit.
Quote: “I don’t want to talk about the transfer market. Any player who stays must have the right mentality and work for the prestige of the club,” Conceição said.
We previously reported that Kanté is making significant progress in negotiations over a move from Al-Ittihad to Fenerbahçe. The Turkish side has already submitted an official offer for the French midfielder.
Kanté has been with Al-Ittihad since June 2023, making around 100 appearances and scoring nine goals. This season, the Frenchman has featured in 21 matches for the Saudi club.
Reminder: Barcelona have announced that 31-year-old Portuguese right-back João Cancelo has officially joined the Blaugrana from Al-Hilal.
