Al Hilal aims to sign Kanté for Club World Cup campaign

Al Hilal will be the sole Saudi representative at the FIFA Club World Cup. The Riyadh-based club is determined to prepare thoroughly to uphold the nation's honor on the world stage.
Details: According to The Athletic, Al Hilal has opened talks with Al Ittihad over a potential loan deal for midfielder N’Golo Kanté for the duration of the Club World Cup. While an agreement has not yet been finalized, there is optimism that the deal could be struck.
Background: Both clubs, along with Al Nassr and Al Ahli, are owned by the Saudi Public Investment Fund, which took control of them ahead of the summer transfer window two years ago.
Last week, Al Hilal appointed former Inter manager Simone Inzaghi as their new head coach. He now oversees a squad featuring high-profile European stars such as Rúben Neves, Aleksandar Mitrović, and Kalidou Koulibaly. Previously, Napoli striker Victor Osimhen turned down a move to Al Hilal.
