Nigeria forward Akor Adams played a decisive role in Sevilla’s narrow 1-0 victory over Getafe on Sunday, delivering the assist that secured all three points for the Spanish side.

The breakthrough came four minutes after the hour mark when Akor set up Djibril Sow, who calmly finished to give Sevilla the lead away from home. It proved to be the only goal of the contest in a tightly fought La Liga encounter.

The Nigerian international continues to impress in Spain, having now recorded four goal involvements in his last six appearances for Sevilla. Overall, he has contributed six goals and three assists in 19 league matches this season under head coach Matías Almeyda.
