Super Eagles striker Akor Adams marked his return to club duty in style, scoring twice as Sevilla fought back to earn a 2-2 draw against Elche on Monday. Adams had just returned from Morocco, where he featured alongside Chidera Ejuke in Nigeria’s AFCON 2025 third-place playoff win. Despite the quick turnaround, both players were named on Sevilla’s matchday squad, although neither started.

Sevilla trailed at the break and fell further behind when Germán Valera struck again after halftime. Coach Matías Almeyda then turned to his Nigerian duo, introducing Adams and later Ejuke to spark a response.

The comeback started in the 75th minute as Adams reduced the deficit, before he converted a stoppage-time penalty to make it 2-2. Ejuke did not score, but his pace unsettled Elche, while Adams’ first competitive brace for Sevilla rescued point.
