Ajax reaches a verbal agreement with Sofyan Amrabat

The Moroccan international is set to join the Dutch club, with whom he is expected to sign as a free agent.

Sofyan Amrabat is set to return to the Eredivisie this season. According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the 30-year-old Moroccan midfielder has reached a verbal agreement with Ajax Amsterdam regarding the terms of his move. The various terms of his contract are reported to have already been agreed verbally between the two parties.

As Sofyan Amrabat is a free agent following the termination of his contract with Fenerbahçe, Ajax will not have to negotiate a transfer fee. Following his spell in the Turkish Super Lig, the Moroccan international is therefore set to return to the Eredivisie, a league he knows well.

The Moroccan midfielder could bring his experience to Ajax Amsterdam. This return to the Netherlands in an Ajax shirt will be a new challenge for Sofyan Amrabat following his spells in the Pro League, La Liga, the Premier League, Serie A and the Super Lig.
