Ahmed Musa Retires from International Football After 15 Years with the Super Eagles
Nigeria’s most capped international, Ahmed Musa, has officially announced his retirement from international football, bringing the curtain down on a remarkable Super Eagles career that spanned nearly 15 years.

The 33-year-old, who currently serves as the General Manager of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Kano Pillars, made the announcement on Wednesday via his official social media accounts.

In an emotional message shared on X, Musa reflected on his journey and achievements in the green and white of Nigeria.

“I wore this badge with pride for 15 years.
From a 17-year-old boy answering every call to becoming the most capped Super Eagle with 111 appearances.
AFCON champion.
Nigeria’s highest World Cup goalscorer.
Captain. Servant. Believer.
I gave everything.
Thank you Nigeria… my heart will always beat green.”

Ahmed Musa’s international journey began when he made his Super Eagles debut in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Madagascar on September 5, 2010, announcing himself as one of the brightest young talents in Nigerian football at the time.
