Agent confirms transfer battle! Two clubs in direct contact with Torino for Njie
The hunt for one of Serie A's most intriguing young talents is heating up.
Details: Fabrizio Romano quotes Sandro Martone, the agent of Torino winger Alieu Njie, who confirmed that both RB Salzburg and Crystal Palace have made direct contact with the Turin club to sign the 21-year-old Swede. According to the agent, negotiations are currently underway.
The battle for the Sweden U21 international has been simmering for weeks. Crystal Palace saw an opening bid rejected in early August before putting together a package worth around €20 million including bonuses, while Salzburg tabled close to €12 million and have already reached a preliminary agreement on personal terms with the player. Torino are holding out for a permanent deal in the region of €16 to 18 million.
Njie arrived in Turin from Swedish side Forssa BK back in 2021 and is under contract until the summer of 2029. Last season the versatile forward made 15 Serie A appearances, scoring once and providing one assist, mostly featuring off the bench. It's worth noting that Transfermarkt values the Swede at €3 million.
