In the first leg of the AFC Champions League quarterfinals held on Tuesday, March 5th, Al-Hilal hosted Al-Ittihad at their home ground.

During the first half, the hosts dominated possession and attempted to attack the opponents' goal more effectively. This advantage translated into goals towards the end of the first half. In the 40th minute, Mitrovic converted a penalty, and two minutes later, Al-Dawsari, assisted by Malcolm, doubled Al-Hilal's lead.

After the break, bad news continued for Al-Ittihad. Midfielder N'Golo Kante received a red card in the 66th minute and will miss the return leg. However, despite playing with a numerical advantage, Al-Hilal couldn't score any more goals.

Al-Hilal emerges victorious in the first leg of the AFC Champions League quarterfinals. Al-Ittihad suffers another defeat without Benzema, and now Kante's absence will further challenge them in the return leg.
