After Ivory Coast's withdrawal. Egypt to host the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) on March 27 awarded Egypt the right to host the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
Details. Today, the Confederation of African Football granted the Egyptian Football Association and the government of Egypt the rights to host the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in 2025.
This decision came after CAF received a notification from the Ivorian Football Federation stating that due to unforeseen circumstances, they would not be able to host the tournament in 2025.
The Egyptian Football Association and the government of Egypt had previously applied to host the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in 2025.
The tournament will kick off on Sunday, April 27, 2025, with the final set for May 18.
Reminder. The current champions of the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations are Senegal, who defeated Gambia 2-0 in the final of the 2023 tournament.
