AFCON 2027 qualifiers: Mali’s fixtures for the first two matchdays have been confirmed

The Eagles will kick off their campaign in Bamako against Cape Verde before travelling to Monrovia to face Liberia.

On the first matchday, Anthony da Silva’s side will face Cape Verde’s Blue Sharks in Group K. The match is scheduled for Friday 25 September at the Stade du 26 Mars in Bamako.

The Eagles of Mali will thus have the opportunity to kick off their qualifying campaign in front of their home crowd. They will be keen to capitalise on this home advantage to get off to a good start in the race to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations, which will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania in 2027.

Four days after their match against Cape Verde in Bamako, the Malians will head to Monrovia for the second matchday. They will face Liberia on Tuesday 29 September at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Monrovia.

Following these first two matchdays of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Mali will play an international friendly against Tunisia. The match will take place on Saturday 3 October in Tunis.
