AFCON 2027 qualifiers: Kolissala Mbangui appointed referee for Ghana v Somalia
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced the refereeing team that will oversee the match on the third matchday of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers between Ghana and Somalia.
The match is scheduled for Thursday 12 November at the Essipong Sports Stadium, with kick-off set for 3 pm GMT. To take charge of this match, CAF has selected Andre Onesime Kolissala-Mbangui from the Central African Republic. He will be the referee for this decisive clash between two teams looking to get back on track.
The Central African referee will be assisted by his compatriot Bozoy Oriya Zaoubaye Wilfried, as first assistant referee, and Juan Ngua Nguema Eleng from Equatorial Guinea, as second assistant referee. Gerson Adolfo Mico Esono Angono from Equatorial Guinea will act as the fourth official.
Ghana’s Black Stars are looking to get back on track following their heavy defeats in the first two matchdays of the qualifiers. Ghana have zero points and sit bottom of Group C.
The next two matchdays are therefore set to be decisive for the Black Stars.
