AFCON 2027 qualifiers: Gaoussou Diakité and other notable returns in Anthony Da Silva’s squad
Mali head coach Anthony Da Silva unveiled on Monday 2 November the squad selected for the double-header against Rwanda, counting towards Matchdays 3 and 4 of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The Portuguese manager has called up 24 players for this international break, and his squad features three notable returns.
Gaoussou Diakité (RB Salzburg), Fodé Doucouré (FC Nantes) and Mamadou Camara (Montpellier) have all been recalled. The Salzburg centre-forward and the Nantes right-back were last called up in June, whilst the Montpellier centre-forward was last called up in March 2026.
These three players are now back in the national team for the upcoming international break. The Eagles will face Rwanda on 13 and 17 November as part of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Mali will play their third matchday at home before travelling to Rwanda for the fourth matchday.
