The Cameroonian midfielder will miss the Cameroon national team’s next training camp, scheduled to coincide with the third and fourth matchdays of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Carlos Baleba picked up an injury on Tuesday 3 November during Manchester United’s 3-2 victory over Roma in the Champions League. He was forced to leave the pitch after feeling pain.

The Cameroonian immediately clutched the upper part of his thigh, near the hamstrings, raising fears of a muscle injury. According to the latest reports, Carlos Baleba has suffered a partial hamstring tear and will be out for at least six weeks.

On Friday 6 November, the Cameroonian national team officially announced that Carlos Baleba is out of action and will not be able to face Namibia on 12 and 16 November. To compensate for his unavailability, manager David Pagou has called up Ryan Fosso.
