AFCON 2025: With Gouiri out, Boulbina emerges as a solution for Petkovic

The absence of Gouiri, ruled out of the 2025 AFCON due to injury, presents a prime attacking option for coach Petkovic, who is now relying on Boulbina.

Adil Boulbina, currently in top form, has established himself as the most effective Algerian striker at the moment. With 5 goals and 1 assist in the AFC Champions League, he is both the competition's top scorer and top contributor.

This momentum should logically open the doors to the senior national team for him and justify his selection for the 2025 AFCON.
