AFCON 2025: Which Teams Were Eliminated in the Group Stage?

The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, currently ongoing in Morocco, has seen several teams exit the tournament after the conclusion of the group stage. Under the competition format, the top two teams in each group, plus the four best third-placed sides, advanced to the knockout round.

Botswana, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Uganda, Comoros and Angola were eliminated after finishing bottom or outside the best third-place rankings.

Botswana exited early, while Gabon and Equatorial Guinea ended bottom of their groups. Comoros and Angola failed to secure enough points, as Mozambique, Benin, Sudan and Tanzania progressed to the last 16 stage phase.
