AFCON 2025: NFF Sets Semi-Final Target for Super Eagles Coach Eric Chelle

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has reportedly set a semi-final target for Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle as preparations intensify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

According to SCORENigeria, Chelle met with the NFF Technical Committee in Abuja on Monday, where both parties agreed on what was described as a realistic performance benchmark for the team. During the meeting, the Malian tactician was also instructed to inject new talent into the squad, following Nigeria’s disappointing failure to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Super Eagles have been drawn into Group C, where they will face Tunisia, Tanzania, and Uganda as they aim for a strong run in the tournament following their failure to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup
