AFCON 2025: Morocco Offers Free e-Visas for Africa Cup of Nations Fans
With just weeks remaining before the highly anticipated Africa Cup of Nations 2025 (AFCON) in Morocco, the Local Organising Committee (LOC) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have announced that fans can now obtain free electronic visas to attend the tournament.
The initiative, developed in collaboration with Moroccan authorities and CAF, aims to make travel easier for supporters eager to back their national teams at Africa’s biggest football celebration. By lifting visa barriers, organisers are ensuring a smoother and more inclusive experience for football fans across the continent.
In an official statement, Moroccan officials confirmed:
“Morocco has introduced free electronic visas to facilitate the movement of supporters wishing to cheer for their teams during the Africa Cup of Nations, which the Kingdom will host.”
The LOC added that the e-visa application process is completely free and accessible through the Yalla app. Fans will also need to apply for a Fan ID, which grants access to stadiums and official fan zones. Both the e-visa and Fan ID can be requested through the Yalla app or via the official website.
How to Apply for the Free AFCON 2025 Morocco e-Visa and Fan ID
- Download YALLA on Google Play or the App Store, or visit www.yallamorocco.ma.
- Complete your Fan ID form and, if needed, submit your e-visa request.
- Once approved, purchase your match tickets through tickets.cafonline.com.
This move highlights Morocco’s commitment to creating a welcoming and accessible tournament environment. With this offer, thousands of supporters are expected to travel easily and safely to witness one of Africa’s most prestigious football events.
The tournament kicks off on 21 December 2025 and will run through to 18 January 2026 in Morocco, so now is the perfect time to secure your travel and entry arrangements.
