AFCON 2025: Hakimi Stresses Team-First Mentality Before Morocco vs Comoros

Morocco defender Achraf Hakimi has reaffirmed his commitment to the national team, stressing that the collective success of the squad matters more to him than individual appearances as the Atlas Lions prepare to face Comoros in their AFCON 2025 opener.

Speaking during the pre-match interview, the Paris Saint-Germain right-back revealed that his priority since picking up an injury has been to support the team in any way possible, whether on or off the pitch.

" As soon as I was injured, I told the coach that I would do everything to play with the group ," he confided, before adding, “ If I don't have to play so that the team wins, I will. I think about the collective.”
