The Federal Government has cleared outstanding Super Eagles’ AFCON 2025 match bonuses, easing tensions within the national team. Minister of State for Finance, Doris Uzoka-Anite, said on X that payment processes had been streamlined after reports players considered boycotting training and travel to Marrakech.
She said the government and the Central Bank resolved foreign exchange challenges, noting that “All group-stage bonuses have been fully released…”. Uzoka-Anite added there would be “no further administrative delays,” assuring players that final transfers ongoing.
