AFCON 2025: CAF Releases Full Tournament Schedule

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the official match calendar for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. The tournament, featuring 24 qualified teams including Nigeria, will kick off on December 21, 2025, and run through the festive period into the new year.

CAF confirmed that the opening game will hold in one of Morocco’s major stadiums, with the host nation expected to feature in the first match. Group stage fixtures will be played across several cities as teams compete for spots in the knockout rounds.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles, already qualified, aim to better their recent AFCON outing and push for a fourth title. CAF said more details on “match venues, ticketing, and kickoff times” will be released soon.
