Benin’s national football team, the Cheetahs, have officially arrived in Morocco ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) confirming their arrival.

The Beninese delegation departed at 10:00 AM and arrived in the Moroccan capital just an hour later. Upon landing, the team participated in a CAF-organised welcome ceremony, formally marking the start of their AFCON 2025 journey.

Dressed in traditional Beninese attire, the players made a strong cultural statement during the event. The appearance symbolised unity, national pride, and the beginning of their stay in Morocco as they prepare for the continental tournament.

Under the leadership of head coach Gernot Rohr, the Cheetahs will begin their AFCON 2025 campaign against DR Congo. The opening-round fixture is scheduled to take place at the Al Barid Stadium in Rabat, where Benin will look to set the tone for their tournament.
