Advíncula Linked to São Paulo After Russo Puts Him on Transfer List

Boca Juniors has begun reshaping its squad following a disappointing Club World Cup showing, and one of the most surprising names on Miguel Ángel Russo’s list of expendable players is Luis Advíncula. According to Golazo24, the Peruvian right-back, a regular starter, was included among 13 players who could be released or sold during the current transfer window. São Paulo has already made an offer.

Initially, Advíncula considered staying at Boca, but Russo’s decision altered the landscape. After discussing the situation with vice president Juan Román Riquelme, the defender appeared willing to remain until December. Still, if São Paulo guarantees him a strong contract and regular playing time, the deal could move quickly.

Though under contract and still delivering solid performances, Advíncula now finds himself in a delicate position as Boca accelerates its roster overhaul. His departure remains a possibility, and São Paulo is watching closely, ready to add an experienced international to its defense.
