According to Football London, the club's leadership is prepared to acknowledge that the majority of their previous acquisitions have proven to be unsuccessful. Due to the high transfer fees and substantial player wages, Chelsea risks violating financial fair play rules and facing sanctions.

To circumvent this issue, Chelsea's decision-makers are prepared to release as many as 15 players in the summer. The exact names are not disclosed, but some of them are currently playing for other clubs on loan.
