Acknowledging greatness. The legendary British veteran addressed Oleksandr Usyk
The seasoned British heavyweight, Derek Chisora, addressed the newly crowned undisputed heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk.
The world boxing veteran paid tribute to the Ukrainian champion, who has defeated opponents from Great Britain six times throughout his career.
"We've taken a beating from this guy six times; he's the greatest boxer," wrote Chisora in his Instagram.
Usyk has defeated six British boxers in his career: Tony Bellew (by knockout), Derek Chisora (by decision), Anthony Joshua (twice by decision), Daniel Dubois (by knockout), and Tyson Fury (by decision).
Recall that on May 18, Usyk secured a victory over a British boxer by a split decision and became the holder of the WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO belts in the heavyweight division. The Ukrainian became the first undisputed heavyweight champion in 25 years.
The 40-year-old Chisora fought his last bout in August, defeating Gerald Washington. In July, Derek is scheduled to face Joe Joyce.
