Achraf Hakimi returns to training a few days after his injury
The right-back is preparing for his full return to competitive action.
Achraf Hakimi was injured during Paris Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 match against Brest on Sunday 13 September. The Moroccan international had to be substituted in the 39th minute at the Stade Francis-Le Blé during matchday 4 of the French league.
The Parisian club subsequently announced that Achraf Hakimi had suffered a minor injury to his right thigh. The Moroccan initially began receiving treatment.
A few days later, Paris Saint-Germain provided an update on the Moroccan international’s fitness. In a statement released on Friday 18 September, the French club announced that Achraf Hakimi is carrying out individual training on the pitch.
This marks an important step in the Moroccan full-back’s recovery process. It is good news for Morocco, which is preparing for the first two matchdays of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Selected by Mohamed Ouahbi, Hakimi could be available to kick off the qualifying campaign with the Atlas Lions.
