AC Milan will offer their defender an improved contract
AC Milan is looking to extend the contract of French full-back Theo Hernandez.
Corriere dello Sport reports that the Rossoneri plan to offer the player a three-year extension with a significant increase in salary: under the new agreement, the footballer would earn €4.5 million per season, including performance bonuses.
However, the terms offered by Milan significantly lag behind Bayern Munich's proposal. The Bavarian club is ready to pay the prolific defender €8-10 million per year.
The Frenchman's current contract with the club expires in two years. In the current season, Hernandez has scored 5 goals and provided 10 assists in 38 matches for the Rossoneri. Previously, Hernandez became the second-highest-scoring defender in the club's history, after the legendary Paolo Maldini.
Earlier reports suggested that Milan is willing to let go of their goalkeeper, but only for a substantial sum.
