AC Milan has encountered difficulties in reaching an agreement with their primary goalkeeper, Mike Maignan, regarding the extension of his contract.

The Rossoneri have long been attempting to secure a new deal with the French goalkeeper, yet their recent negotiations have not yielded success. According to 90min.com, the goalkeeper desires to remain with the club but hopes for a substantial increase in his wages. However, the club is not prepared to meet his financial demands. Maignan's current contract with AC Milan is scheduled until 2026.

Previously, it was reported that Milan is facing financial constraints. The club is obligated to settle a loan of approximately 550 million euros left by the previous owner.

Against this backdrop, several top European clubs have started monitoring the situation. Chelsea, PSG, and Bayern Munich are among the contenders for Maignan. The aristocrats aim to sign the goalkeeper in the summer, yet PSG is the favorite to acquire the Frenchman.

It's noted that PSG is seriously considering parting ways with Gianluigi Donnarumma, who has yet to find stability in France and recently received a senseless red card in a Ligue 1 match against Havre (2-0).

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich views Mike as a potential replacement for Manuel Neuer.

In the current season, the 28-year-old Maignan has participated in 16 matches across various tournaments for Milan, keeping six clean sheets.
