Aberdeen have officially confirmed the signing of Nigerian midfielder Afeez Aremu from German side FC Kaiserslautern.

The 26-year-old has signed a long-term contract that will keep him at Pittodrie until 2028, highlighting the club’s confidence in his abilities and future potential. Aremu arrives with solid experience from German football, having spent the last three seasons with Kaiserslautern.

During his spell in Germany, the midfielder made 25 league appearances, where he impressed with his defensive work rate, physical presence, and tactical awareness in the middle of the park.

Aremu becomes Aberdeen’s fifth signing of the winter window as the Dons continue to reshape their squad ahead of the second half of the season.
