Abdoul Ouattara opened his Premier League goalscoring account. With Ipswich Town trailing Fulham 1-0 from the 55th minute at Portman Road, the Ivorian levelled the score.
He found the back of the net with a powerful strike in the 88th minute, bringing the score to 1–1. This equaliser gave Ipswich Town a new lease of life, and they eventually snatched a 2–1 victory.
The 20-year-old midfielder thus scored his first goal in the top flight of English football, at the end of a match that remained in the balance right up to the final minutes. Thanks to this performance, Abdoul Ouattara was named man of the match at the final whistle.
This goal marks the start of Abdoul Ouattara’s Premier League career. The 20-year-old Ivorian midfielder joined Ipswich Town from Strasbourg during the last summer transfer window.
